A special out-door program in attempt to raise awareness of the importance of water and saving clean water has been launched in Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of 8,300 primary-school pupils and 700 teachers from 8 schools in district 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

Accordingly, pupils, acting as ”valiant men of saving water”, will take part in a series of interesting activities such as finding out about water, watching short joyful plays shown in the schoolyard on Monday mornings.

The pupils will take notes of what they do during the day in order to save water in detail and those who have most practical activities will be awarded monthly.

Moreover, their parents will hand over their monthly water bill to the organising board with awards going to the family with the least water-use in three months.

According to the organising board, including businessmen and leaders in district 1, each pupil will act as an ambassador of the program, “Valiant Men Saving Water”, to popularise the message of saving water to their families and neighbours. In addition, this four-month program will offer parents a good opportunity to actively participate in educational out-door programs with their children.
