SIDA ENVIRONMEMTAL FUND

 Activities for possible support from the sida Environmental Fund (SEF)

1.      Increasing awareness of environment, create movement of environmental protection in community. The project also carry out the movement to raise awareness and attract local people participation in environmental protection activities in location. Project activities must be clearly express mode creating a firm and regularly movement. SEF do not encourage the formal activities that  non- relate directly with local community.

2.      Stimulating local initiatives and pilot small-sized projects on study and research, application of hand over science - technology related to priority environmental issues, with emphasis on public participation and application of simple environmentally friendly technologies and promotion of traditional knowledge, associated with ecosystems.

3.      Information dissemination through mass-media facilities: SEF support to individual research, publish organization and allocate documents, books, brochures, leaflets, newsletters, manuals and handbooks on community-based work. in nationwide

4.      Creating networks and facilitating conditions for exchanging experiences among different interest groups, local institutions and contributing their voice on specific issues relating to environmental monitoring and detecting violation of environmental laws and regulations, clean-up activities, comments to environmental policies and plans with emphasis on establishment of partner relationship and encourage dialogue among groups that has different interest. SEF stimulates co-proposing and co-organizing to implement of 2 or many non- governmental organizations and community based organization.

5.      Building capacity and supporting institutions for CBOs, NGOs, and  CSOs to improve the general environmental knowledge and skills in working with grass-root people in the field of environmental protection and management and sustainable use of natural resources. For example, arrange meeting to establish regulations, convention of nature and environmental protection; organize training courses of working skills, skill of developing group…Building capacity of organization management, establish network of information exchange. For instant, create brochures, meeting, seminar and establish website for dissemination and exchanging information in environmental protection and management and sustainable use of natural resources
