(VACNE) - Preparing for the 7th EIA Workshop, VACNE Office statistics of EIA workshops Vietnam - Korea: From 2007 to before the COVID-19 pandemic, VACNE in collaboration with the Korea EIA Association has successfully organized 6 scientific workshops in many localities in Vietnam.
(1) The first Vietnam-Korea EIA Workshop was held in Hanoi, December 7, 2007.
At the workshop, the Memorandum of Cooperation between Vietnam EIA Association and Korea EIA Association was signed.

(2) The 2nd Vietnam-Korea EIA Workshop was held in Ho Chi Minh City, August 21, 2009.
The theme of the 2nd workshop was "Vietnam-Korea experiences in EIA and EIA". More than 60 delegates attended, including 14 South Korean delegates.
(3) The 3rd Vietnam-Korea EIA Workshop was held in Hue on 26/8/2011.
The theme of the 3rd Workshop was "Impacts of Climate Change". A total of 28 scientific reports from Vietnam and Korea were presented.
(4) The 4th Vietnam-Korea EIA Workshop was held in Hanoi, 15/8/2013.
The theme of the workshop was Environmental Planning and Nature Conservation in Environmental Impact Assessment". 16 reports from both countries were presented.
(5) The 5th Vietnam-Korea EIA Workshop was held in Vinh City, Nghe An, on 27/8/2015.
The theme of this workshop is on sustainable development and rural environment in EIA. Nearly 20 thematic reports were presented and discussed at the workshop.
(6) The 6th Viet Ha EIA Workshop was held in Da Nang, August 9 – 12, 2017
The 6th Vietnam-Korea Workshop was called "Impact Assessment and Post-management". This is also the first workshop with the participation of more than 60 international delegates from Korea, Japan and China and over 80 Vietnamese delegates. 39 reports and 10 presentations were presented through 6 thematic sessions.

(7) Organizing EIA tours and surveys in Korea
Within the framework of cooperation between the two associations, from 6 to 10/9/2010, the VACNE delegation visited and worked in Korea to directly discuss EIA through a series of meetings with leaders of some Korean companies, business groups and some environmental management officials of the Ministry of Environment of Korea.
