VND 20 b. for green development in Ly Son

A capital of 20 billion VND has been approved for a 5-year green development project (2011-2015) in Ly Son district, an over 18 nautical mile offshore island in Quang Ngai province where is planned to be a tourist and national defense area.

The island district of Ly Son, a king dom of garlic, is under development to be an attractive destination for tourists
 


The local government, as scheduled, is to grow 130 hectares of protected forest in communes of An Vinh, An Hai and An Binh.
The would-be-grown forest will increase green area in the island district upto 20 percent to 2015 that develop Ly Son to be a potential eco-tourist landscape.
