Khanh Hoa Province has proposed a VND 10,000 billion project to build a 4km sea-crossing bridge as part of a 25km coastal route connecting Cam Ranh Airport with southern economic zones.

The Khanh Hoa Investment Construction Management Board has proposed building a 25km coastal road connecting Cam Ranh Airport with major southern economic zones, including a 4km sea-crossing bridge and a 10km section passing through Naval Region 4.

The project will be implemented in Bac Cam Ranh ward, Nam Cam Ranh commune, and Cong Hai commune. The road will be 20.5-27 metres wide, while the bridge will span about 27 metres with six lanes and a clearance height of 37 metres to accommodate both road and maritime traffic.

The total investment is estimated at VND 10,000 billion (approximately USD 390 million), funded by both central and local budgets. Of this, about VND 2,300 billion will be allocated for road construction, VND 7,500 billion for the bridge, and the remainder for land clearance.

Once completed, the project will improve coastal connectivity from Cam Ranh Airport to southern Khanh Hoa’s key economic zones, enhance disaster response capacity, and strengthen maritime defense and security.

Following its merger with Ninh Thuan, Khanh Hoa now spans more than 8,555 square kilometers with a population of over 2.24 million, with its provincial centre located in Nha Trang.
