Camera traps in a forest in the southern central province of Binh Thuan have captured images of various wild animals.
Around 36 camera traps placed around 500 metres apart at Long Song-Da Bac Protective Forest in Tuy Phong District recorded 24 different kinds of animals, including the black-shanked douc langur, the Java pangolin, the peafowl and the pig-tailed macaque.

This indicates that the Long Song-Da Bac Protective Forest has a rich biodiversity with great potential for development in eco-tourism.
According to the Southern Institute of Ecology, Binh Thuan must intensify forest patrols and protection activities for wild animal species.
In May this year, 80 camera traps captured up to 32 rare and endangered wildlife species at Bac Huong Hoa Nature Reserve in the central province of Quang Tri.
