Cuc Phuong National Park rescues 91 rare keeled box turtles

Cuc Phuong National Park in the northern province of Ninh Binh on Thursday received 91 rare keeled box turtles which were rescued from a wild animal trading case.


 



The keeled box turtles which are rescued from a wild animal trading case in Lang Son Province on April 5

The 91 animals were seized from an animal trading ring by border guard officers in the northern province of Lang Son on April 5.

While carrying out further investigation into the case, the turtles were sent to Cuc Phuong National Park for better care.

The animals are in good health.

Keeled box turtles (Cuora Mouhotii) are forest animals that belong to group IIB in the list of critically endangered, rare species.
