Located about 120km away from Hanoi, the park has a total area of more than 15,000 hectares and 84 percent of them are forests. It has impressive springs, falls, mountains, caves and a daily changing climate.

There are 726 species of high-class plants and 365 species of animals in the park, which has the largest number of chamois in the country.

More than 10 households in Tan Son’s Xuan Son commune in the core area of the park offer homestay services for tourists. The households can serve a total of 300 tourists each day.

Tourists using the homestay services can experience the life of Muong and Dao ethnic groups and enjoy their special dishes made from spring fish, bamboo shoots, glutinous rice and chicken. Tourists can also participate in the daily production of locals.

Phu Tho province aims to have the park regconised as a national tourism site and targets 30,000 visitors next year. The park receives between 5,000 and 10,000 visitors a year.
