The Executive Committee of VACNE agrees to overcome difficulties and successfully complete the tasks for the year 2025.
(VACNE) - On June 19, 2025, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment held a meeting in person in Hanoi and online with several domestic locations, where they listened to the report on the activities in the first six months of the year and agreed on actions with high determination.
Dr. Nguyễn Ngọc Sinh, Chairman of the Association, said: the report on the results of activities in the first six months of the year has received input from nearly half of the permanent members.

The meeting is held in both online and in-person formats.
Most contributions agree with the Draft Report. Specifically, the Council has successfully completed the tasks and plans set for the first 6 months of the year, despite significant changes in the current administrative organization of our country, especially in the localities. Specifically, the newly merged provinces and cities such as: Phu Tho and Vinh Phuc, Hai Phong and Hai Duong; Kon Tum and Quang Ngai, Dak Lak and Phu Yen, Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong, Hau Giang and Can Tho.
However, the Association continues to effectively leverage its strengths in the field of Consulting - Assessment and Social Critique regarding natural resources and the environment, on forums at both central and local levels, especially in the media.
At this meeting, the standing commission members unanimously agreed with the recommendations of the VACNE agency's Party Committee regarding the upcoming XIV Congress, along with the opinions of the Chairman of the Association with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission recently. Among them, it reaffirms the viewpoint: Persisting in the green transition process before the threshold of the era of the nation's resurgence, in the context of a world with many fluctuations; Identifying natural resources as a strength, a foundation for sustainable development, and effectively promoting the role of the community in environmental protection.
The communication work of VACNE over the past 6 months has also been maintained quite well (both on the Website and the online Environmental Magazine). Notably, the Association's website had over 410,000 visits to the Vietnamese page and more than 54,000 visits to the English page by the end of April 2025, making a strong impression on readers.
Regarding science and technology: The Association has successfully completed the mission of scientific research for the period 2022-2025 as per the contract with GAHP and has many prospects for expansion.
About the Conservation of Heritage Trees in Vietnam: Continuing to reap success, with over 50 honoring ceremonies in various regions, especially during the months of May and June (the time racing against changes in administrative boundaries).
All opinions expressed at this meeting agree with the Report and highly appreciate the spirit of solidarity, overcoming difficulties to successfully complete the tasks of all members, and unanimously agreed to temporarily halt the preparation of the nomination documents for the Ho Chi Minh Prize for Science and Technology for the Association's publications, as well as the establishment of new research units in the current situation.
