“When Quang Nam authorities contacted us about the presence of a group of grey-shanked douc langurs (Pygathrix cinerea) in the area, we came to survey the situation. To our surprise, a small group of locals had been voluntarily protecting the species for years, even though they didn’t know it was rare,” recalled Tran Huu Vy, Director of the Nuoc Viet Xanh (GreenViet) Biodiversity Conservation Centre, when introducing the Tien Phong Group.
