Rare tortoises handed over to Ha Tinh national park

Two Impressed Tortoises have been handed over to Vu Quang National Park in the central province of Ha Tinh.The two were seen by a resident in Hong Linh Town while crawling on a local road.
The tortoises have been handed over to Vu Quang National Park
Each tortoise weighs around 3 kilos.
Vu Quang National Park will medically monitor and care for the two animals before releasing them into the wild.
The Impressed Tortoise is an endangered and rare species that must be protected and preserved.
Vu Quang National Park has co-operated with the Ha Tinh Forest Protection Department to release 36 wild animals, including 14 monkeys and nine pythons, into the wild.
So far this year, the national park has released 162 rare and endangered wild animals.
