The Emulation Block of Economics, Environment, and Climate Change Science implements tasks for the year 2026

(VACNE) – On the morning of April 9, 2026, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA), the Economic, Environmental and Climate Change Emulation Block (Block V) held a New Year meeting and a discussion on the implementation of emulation tasks for 2026.

Attending the meeting were Mr. Nguyễn Quyết Chiến – General Secretary of VUSTA; Ms. Trần Thị Hồng Ánh – Member of the Standing Committee, Chief of the Office of the VUSTA Party Committee; Ms. Nguyễn Hồng Yến – Standing Committee member of the VUSTA Emulation and Commendation Council, along with representatives of the leadership of member associations in the Sector and the leadership of the Vietnam Association for Nature and Environment Protection (VACNE).

At the meeting, the delegates discussed and agreed on the emulation contents for 2026 of the associations under Block V according to Official Dispatch No. 186/KH-LHHVN dated March 30, 2026, of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations on the plan to launch the 2026 emulation.

The associations in the Block committed to implementing a number of key tasks such as: thoroughly disseminating the emulation movement content to organizations and members; innovating the content and methods of association activities; improving the quality of communication, social consulting and criticism, scientific research, and technology application to contribute to promoting sustainable development.

In addition, the associations have also strengthened information exchange, opened sections on their electronic information pages and media channels to introduce and spread the activities of member associations within the Block.

In 2026, Block V is expected to select 1 to 2 joint activities based on proposals from member associations.

In the role of Block leader, the Vietnam Nature and Environment Protection Association has proposed inviting associations within the Block to participate in the 9th Vietnam – Korea regular seminar, scheduled to be held in December 2026 in Hanoi with the theme “Environmental Impact Assessment and Artificial Intelligence (AI)”.

The bloc also strives to have at least 1 to 2 associations receive the 'Excellent Unit in the Emulation Movement in 2026' Flag from the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, while maintaining at least two emulation meetings of the Bloc in 2026.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyễn Quyết Chiến – Secretary General of VUSTA, gave an overview of the activities of Bloc V in recent times, acknowledging and praising the positive results achieved by some member associations. He expressed his hope that in 2026, the associations within the Bloc will continue to promote solidarity, strengthen coordination, and effectively implement emulation movements, thereby contributing to enhancing the status and role of the associations within the Union of Associations system.

The delegates also contributed many ideas to improve the draft content of the Bloc's emulation activities for 2026. Before the official session, a lively cultural exchange program was organized, creating a friendly and warm atmosphere, contributing to strengthening the connection between member associations and the sustainable development of the country.
