New York News Agency The Ritz Herald published an article suggesting 9 lesser-known places in Vietnam.


Vietnam possesses diverse landscapes from vibrant cities to peaceful countryside or from rugged hills and mountains to beautiful beaches, stated The Ritz Herald.

While famous destinations such as Ha Long Bay, Hoi An Ancient Town and Phu Quoc Island continuously attract thousands of visitors each year, there are still many lesser-known destinations in Vietnam that are filled with beauty and wild nature. These locations are considered hidden gems. By exploring these hidden gems, visitors can enjoy pristine natural beauty and a rare peaceful atmosphere.

Ba Be Lake

Bac Kan, a Northeast province of Vietnam, 230 km north of Ha Noi, where Ba Be Lake is situated, this place will be a destination not to be missed. Nature has bestowed "a precious gem" in Bac Kan, which is a beautiful and peaceful lake that will bring visitors a pleasant feeling and a complete experience.

With an area of 500 hectares, Ba Be Lake is considered one of the largest natural lakes in Vietnam and is on the list of 16 most beautiful lakes in the world. Ba Be Lake is actually made up of 3 smaller lakes connected by a wide channel system, about 8 km long.

Ba Be Lake is also part of Ba Be National Park, which has a diverse flora and fauna, including many rare animal species. Visitors can explore the park's scenic trails or hidden waterfalls, stunning caves and traditional ethnic minority villages.

Ban Gioc Waterfall

Ban Gioc Waterfall is one of the most majestic and beautiful natural wonders in Vietnam, located in the northeast of Cao Bang Province. The waterfall marks the border between Vietnam and China, with water falling from a height of 30m.
