The first trees receiving Vietnam’s honorable heritage tree recognition are 9 "Muom" trees (Mangifera foetida) at Voi Phuc Temple, Thuy Khue, Hanoi

On the 1st of October 2010, in Hanoi, VACNE held a meeting to assess the registrations received for possible heritage trees and chose nine "Muom" trees (Mangifera foetida) in Voi Phuc Temple, Thuy Khe Ward (Tay Ho District, Hanoi) to give them, for the first time, honorable recognition as heritage trees for Vietnam.

^{All nine Muom trees in Voi Phuc Temple are about 700 years old (as old as the Temple itself), and are between 2.92 to 5.20 m in perimeter, with heights from 17 to 29 m. The Temple was built in order to worship His Highness Linh Lang, the Royal Highest Mandarin of the Royal Ly Dynasty, who contributed a great deal to victories against foreign aggressors. Therefore, these "Muom" trees are not simply ancient, but are also witnesses of history for the imperial city Thang Long - Ha Noi through many decades. With this in mind, immediately after receiving a registration document from the Chairman of the Temple Relic Board, VACNE in cooperation with the Hanoi Union of Scientific and Technological Association (HUSTA), promptly reviewed the documents and set up a plan for honorable recognition of these trees in order to attract the public to participate in protecting these invaluable heritage trees.}
