Events connecting youth and community in Climate change adaptation in Red River Delta

(VACNE) - Recently, Centre for Marinelife Conservation and Community Development (MCD, VACNE member) and the Nam Dinh People’s Committee co-hosted the events connecting initiatives in climate change adaptation in biosphere reserves in the red river delta.

Biosphere reserve approaches offer innovations in climate change adaptation. The seminar saw the sharing of initiatives that took place in the red river delta, facilitated by the trained youth. The participants cheered the launch of the competition for the youth to learn about CCA in the red river delta, which shall be finalised by November this year 2017.

Seminar on development of district level climate change adaptation action plan was held in Xuan Thuy National Park. Senior experts on the climate issues made presentations including Prof Dr, Truong Quang Hoc, Madam Nguyen Thi Tho.

The events were organised as part of the project READY with funding from USAID, implemented by MCD, AMDI and CERC.

ADB finances climate resilience infrastructure...
