Recognition of Heritage Trees at the Festival of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Highland Communes of Tan Lac District

(VACNE) - On November 24, the government and people of Tan Lac district solemnly organized the Ceremony of Receiving the Certificate of Recognition of Vietnamese Heritage Trees along with the Festival of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Highland Communes of Tan Lac District

Attending and having fun with local people were Mr. Bui Duc Hinh, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ms. Nguyen Thi Cam Phuong, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Van Toan, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of Tan Lac district, Quyet Chien communes and thousands of locals and visitors from all over the world.

ASS. Dr. Tran Ngoc Hai, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Heritage Tree Council, on behalf of the Vietnam Association for Nature and Environment Protection, attended and awarded the Certificate of Recognition of Heritage Trees to the local Government and people

In his opening speech, Mr. Le Chi Huyen, Vice Chairman of Tan Lac District People's Committee said: Being recognized as a heritage tree has contributed to preserving and protecting the country's genetic resources, honoring the value of plant resources, protecting the precious and rare landscapes of the locality; contributing to propagating and educating the awareness of protecting natural resources and the environment; is a place to visit, creating a highlight of community tourism development associated with new rural development in 2 communes of Van Son and Quyet Chien.
