Three rare fungus found in Cat Tien

The Management Committee of the Cat Tien National Park (Dong Nai Province, South) has announced the discovery of three rare varieties of mushrooms. This is the Pleurotus cornucopiae, the Lentinula platinedodes and the Caesars amanita (Amanita Caesare).

According to scientists, these three species specific nutritional attributes are also interesting and valuable medicines.They are: Royal white mushroom; white mushrooms flavor (or white mushrooms) and mushrooms César Emperor (mushroom eggs). Of these three varieties, the first is the rarest and most valuable. Its name means fragrant white fungus and it can not develop properly in tropical conditions. Which can be grown all year, it is possible to produce it in large quantities to believe the two experts from the Cat Tien National Park, Pham Ngoc Duong and Nguyen Thi Anh. It has also been cultivated in some Asian countries like China and Japan. We found the second species, also known as fragrant white fungus on the heights. This is the first time one sees in Cat Tien. Scientists at the Cat Tien National Park exploring the possibilities of growing these two varieties of mushrooms on a trial basis. The final treasure is the fungus favorite of the Emperor Caesar. This is a very rare species in the world. Pham Ngoc Duong said that the Cat Tien National Park has almost finished the research on Pleurotus cornucopiae to increase yields over large areas. "We will soon recognize the second species discovered as a new species. For the amanita of the Caesars, the last, the challenge is how to cultivate a large scale, "he said. The discovery of these three fungal species manifests rich flora Vietnamese and the prospect of a next generation of sustainable mushroom.
